I am a proud American patriot who loves this country with all my heart. Times Square holds a special place in my heart, and it would be an honor to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States right in the heart of New York City. This occasion presents a unique opportunity to unite with my fellow Americans in a joyful and inclusive celebration, where we can reflect on our shared history and look forward to a brighter future.

Unfortunately, plans for a public celebration to mark this significant milestone have been cancelled due to a decision by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. While a Times Square ball drop is being planned to mark America’s 250th birthday - an idea that's been discussed for years - due to Mamdani’s order it will not be open to the public.

In the spirit of unity, I urge Mayor Mamdani and the city officials to reconsider their position and allow the America250 Celebration in Times Square to be open to everyone. 

This event has the potential to bring people from all across the country to celebrate together, fostering a spirit of patriotism and community. Moreover, such celebrations have traditionally been key drivers for tourism, bringing in revenue and boosting the local economy. According to past reports, events in Times Square have had economic impacts to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars in direct and indirect spending, benefiting countless local businesses and workers.

New York City has always been a beacon for celebration and togetherness, and I believe allowing this event to take place will further reinforce our city's and country's values. Let's honor our nation's 250th anniversary with fireworks of unity, inclusivity, and patriotism right in Times Square.
