Alcatraz Island is one of our country's most iconic landmarks and its most popular National Park. Workers who are employed by Alcatraz Cruises run and maintain all boats to the Alcatraz, clean the facilities, and serve all guests to the iconic island. 

Alcatraz Cruises is owned by Hornblower, one of the largest tourist ferry and hospitality companies in the country. After years of uneven wages, unpredictable scheduling, and safety issues, workers formed a union with the Inlandboatmen's Union of the Pacific  in Fall 2022.

Since then, workers have been trying to negotiate a contract to achieve the conditions they deserve. Hornblower is a huge, profitable company, and the Alcatraz ferry is a hugely lucrative contract. This company absolutely has the ability to give workers the modest improvements they are asking for. We are calling on the community to show their support for workers' efforts to win better lives.
