Most members of the musical community have refused to play and canceled shows in Arizona in protest of the harsh anti-immigrant bill SB 1070. But not Elton John.

In the past, John played South Africa at the height of apartheid, failing to support another artists' boycott, and earlier this month he played at the wedding of homophobe Rush Limbaugh.

Right now, it seems that Elton John will play anything, no matter what injustice his music goes to support, for money he doesn't even really need.

John refused to cancel his July 21 performance in Arizona. Not only that, he called fellow artists "fuckwits" for taking a principled stand, and offered a false comparison to problems for LGBTQ rights that failed to recognize that queer immigrants will suffer from SB 1070.

Ask Elton John for an apology and to donate the money he received for playing in Arizona to an organization that fights racial profiling or works on behalf of queer immigrants.
