The Mayor of the City of Albuquerque NM, Mr. Richard Berry (R), recently introduced a new 'immigration policy' which will require authorities to check the immigration status of everyone arrested effectively making Albuquerque the first city to follow Arizona's bigoted new immigration law. 

This new policy has been criticized by immigrants' rights groups because it will undermine community policing and fuel the immigrant communities’ already existing perception of local police as immigration agents. 

We can stop the implementation of this very negative policy! City Councilman Rey Garduno is introducing a measure on Monday, May 17th to the City Council to overturn Mayor Berry's new immigration policy. 

Please tell the Albuquerque City Council to vote in favor of overturning Mayor Berry's mistake on May 17th.
