Bango Skank is a much loved although elusive character in the Stephen King universe who marks their travels with the tag "Bango Skank was here" and "Bango Skank awaits the king!" leaving Constant Readers wondering who is Bango and what is their story?! 

Bango was created for The Talisman but didn't actually first appear until Peter Straub's short story Buffalo Hunter and has since appeared many times throughout King's works, including The Stand and The Dark Tower, but never in person; only in the grafitti left behind leaving us always on the trail, never catching up. Dark Tower fans can appreciate the irony there. ;)
