Tell Air-France KLM to Stop Transporting Animals for Vivisection!

This petition had 11,399 supporters

Air France-KLM are the number one transporter of animals for the vivisection industry and are a vital link in the global supply of animals. They fly primates from Africa and Asia to Europe and the USA, as well as transporting dogs, cats and other animals from breeding facilities to laboratories around the world. If we are serious about ending vivisection then it is vital we cut off the supply of animals.

Air France-KLM is an accessory to animal cruelty and scientific fraud, but they stand by their decision to keep flying animals to vivisectors.

Air France Press Release

The heart of the matter is, the vivisection industry has grown into a huge, politically powerful conglomerate of institutions, experimenters, drug companies, animal-supply companies and medical-supply companies. Maintaining it now takes the obscene number of 21 million animals a year.

By now we in the United States should all have eternal life, not to mention eternal youth. Instead, we are an abysmal 15th in the world inlife expectancy.

Because the big money is in surgery, surgical devices and drugs, not in basic health care or vitamins and vegetables, we're just discovering that a healthy diet can reverseheart disease and help prevent cancer. What knowledge might be ours if we hadn't poured our health funds into the vivisectors' bottomless basket?

Typical tax-funded experiments include: removing kittens' eyeballs, then making them jump from a high platform onto a plank in a pan of water (University of Oregon, $95,000); sewing rabbits' eyelids closed, chaining them in stocks, shocking them and giving them LSD (University of Maryland, $237,000) and shocking squirrel monkeys in fear-conditioning chambers (Stanford University, $654,000). The government also still helps fund tobacco industry dog-smoking experiments.

Dr. Carl G. Jung wrote: "During my medical education at the University of Basle, I found vivisection horrible, barbarous and above all unnecessary." It still is.
