Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Telangana Government has shut down schools, yet teachers have been asked to attend the school as usual. In times when social distancing is of utmost importance and everyone is strictly advised to remain at home, teachers, however, have been mandated to do administration work while remaining in school premises and thereby risking their lives. The nature of their work does not demand this and it can be easily accomplished working from home. The government needs to order immediate relieving of teachers and order them to work from home.
