For over 30 years Texas A&M University has purposely bred dogs with muscular dystrophy (DMD) in order to conduct experiments on them.  Not only is this cruel but it has NOT led to any advancements for a cure, or even a drug to help the disease.  

Muscular dystrophy causes muscles to weaken, diminish, and can interfere with the productions of proteins to allow muscle growth.  Due to the damage of muscles, dogs acquire breathing issues, swallowing issues, and even lose the ability to walk.  Many of the dog's tongues swell up to the point where eating and drinking becomes so difficult it causes them to lose drastic amounts of weight and puts them in danger of choking and even death.  TAMU cages these dogs in cold metal cells and feeds them extremely watered down food just so that they are able to swallow it.  

Please sign this petition to put an end to this abuse!  No one deserves this kind of treatment.  Every electronic signature helps to get TAMU’s attention!
