Dear Tennessee lawmakers, 

The events that happened on March 27, 2023 at The Covenant School in Nashville have been a stark reminder of how vulnerable our communities (and schools) are with the existing laws around gun safety in the state of Tennessee. 

We, the students of Tennessee schools, petition you to set aside partisan politics to pass laws to keep our communities safer. Some issues are not red or blue but instead, require sensible and responsible compromise. We respectfully request you come together on this issue. 

We believe in the right to bear arms AND we believe it is possible to make laws that enforce the responsible sale, possession, and use of firearms. You, our elected officials, hold the power. We, the students, are asking you to take action toward common sense gun regulation. #Commonsensekids
