Hi, everyone!

Wow, I am so grateful for all the support -- we've reached over 100 signatures and growing every day. I pledged to send this as a letter to Interlochen as soon as we reached 100, so I will soon be sending them this petition along with a letter from me explaining why it is so important that they take action immediately.

BUT, I wanted to share first a major win - as of yesterday, the link to the cabin (which I shared on the petition) is no longer working on Interlochen's website - it now redirects to their homepage, and there are no traces to be found of the cabin otherwise - no images, no name changes - it's just gone! This is huge - it means that as of this moment, the cabin is no longer rentable, so Interlochen is *not actively benefiting* from it! This is a BIG step in the right direction, and was one of the points of this petition! For no students to be financially supported by the legacy of a child predator.

Whether or not they have removed the link due to public pressure from recent news articles, or if they removed it because someone from the camp actually viewed this petition - doesn't matter, as this marvelous first step has been achieved! I hope the petition and your support had something to do with it - change is possible when we speak up!

Interlochen's next step is to remove all traces of the lodge from its campus, and to create something new in its place. My suggestion was a healing garden, but they can - and should - use all their creativity, abundant financial resources and empathy to brainstorm what could be built over the remains of a violent legacy. A park that displays children's artwork, a plaque dedicated to the strength and courage of survivors, a meditation space - there are so many wonderful options that would signify acknowledgment of the harm caused on campus and a real institutional commitment to preventing anything like this from happening on their watch again.

Thank you so much for your signatures and support, and I will post more updates once I get in touch with Interlochen.

With love and gratitude - Blythe
