Overcrowded classrooms in public schools in South Africa are a problem, and cutting teaching jobs would be disastrous. Classrooms would be more overcrowded, which would impact the quality of learning and teaching. We need your signature to stop the National and Provincial governments from cutting teachers' jobs. The decision to cut jobs needs to be reconsidered. 

In the Western Cape, alone, 2400 jobs will be cut by January 2025:

• Cape Winelands, 299 teachers will lose their jobs 
• Eden and Central Karoo - 200;
• Metro Central - 309;
• Metro East - 459;
• Metro North - 462;
• Metro South - 444;
• Overberg - 117; and
• West Coast - 117 posts.
