On the 14th April 2019 we have been blessed with a news which has delighted the otome game community. One of the greatest otome game franchises of all time has released a teaser for the upcoming "Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 4th" (aka TMGS4) on their Twitter, creating a wave of excitement around the announcement knowing that the Tokimeki series never cease to provide and impress us with great romance games with high quality standards that not many companies can achieve.

However, all good announcements have their downsides and the "Tokimeki Memorial" franchise is no exception. Various otome games including “Tokimeki Memorial” that Konami has kindly produced, sadly have no official English translation making it difficult for non-japanese speaking fans to play the games and fully support the company due language barriers. The otome community has been growing more and more around the world and many global fans would very much appreciate an official English release even if that only includes English text keeping the Japanese CVs.

With the help of a wonderful person named Jjjewel, the Gokusaishiki team along with many others within the community, we've been lucky enough to experience playing the Tokimeki Memorial Girl's side series and we can't express enough how much we appreciate their efforts. Although we are happy for the experience, we cannot just pray and hope forever that someone kind enough will take on the burden to translate the next TMGS that Konami provides, this results pressure and a lot of stress on people that eventually provide you with the translation you've been waiting for, for free. It’s not fair on these translators and it is also not fair for Konami as a business.

That's what this petition is all about, With the help of the community we want to bring our love for Konami's games and enlighten them on how passionate we are about their games so that Konami would consider the possibility of also releasing "Tokimeki memorial girl's side 4th" outside of Japan.

We know that petitions aren't a sure bet when it comes to obtaining what we dream for and most of the time end up unnoticed. We believe that it is worth a try not only for us but for Konami also to feel closer to their fan base and understand how much their hard work is loved around the world. If this petition could at least make it to Konami and help them realise that their games have a huge audience outside of Japan, maybe they would consider localizing future otome games in other countries and that's all we could hope for.
