I am calling on Disney to move for an idea, to collaborate with the artist TC-96 to bring the 'Kiara’s Reign' storyline to the big screen. This fan-loved narrative captures the emotional depth and family legacy of the original films by focusing equally on the growth and bond of Kiara and Kovu’s three cubs: Koda, Asha, and Leah. We believe that by listening to the fans and honoring this artistic vision, Disney can restore the heart, expressiveness, and epic storytelling that made The Lion King a masterpiece for generations. This petition is a fan-led effort to show Disney the demand for this specific vision. The Lion King franchise has always been at its best when it focuses on the complex, emotional bonds of family and the weight of a royal legacy. Unfortunately, much of the modern content has shifted toward a "commercial-like-ish" tone that prioritizes sassy humor over the epic storytelling and expressive animation fans crave. I am petitioning Disney to officially collaborate with professional artist TC-96 to bring her acclaimed storyline, "Kiara’s Reign," to the screen. Unlike typical "money-only" sequels, this story offers a deep, equal focus on the three siblings—Koda, Asha, and Leah—showing how they must navigate the challenges of the Pride Lands together. Plot: Kovu and Kiara are happy with their three cubs. However, Leah is the runt of the litter. Leah has a leg problem as she was born with it and she trips all the time. That gives Leah a "low self-esteem". Kiara (the mother) managed to "trick" Leah into going to the water hole with the family. Leah at first starting staying around family until "Aunt Vitani" talked her into playing with her siblings and the other cubs only for her to trip on her sister, Asha. Her sister of course did not mind but the other cubs did and they started bullying Leah. Until Asha stood up for her. The cubs where going to the ravine and of course... there brother Koda did too. So, what did Asha and Leah do? They played together. But then in a rainstorm Koda was stuck on a rock at the ravine, near a cliff where Leah sacrifices her life to save both her brother and sister, and falls into the river. Lion patrols and searches go out to find Kovu's missing cub Leah, but it's called off soon, as no lion can find Leah. Leah soon wakes up in a new home, on the whole other side of the Pride Lands, so far a dangerous and desolate desert cuts between the two lands. Will Leah be able to find her way back home, or stay back with her new family? And we were all left unknow to the rest of the plot. TC-96’s vision restores the expressive character designs and hand-drawn heart that made the 1994 original a masterpiece. By partnering with this creator, Disney has the opportunity to bridge the gap between official canon and the millions of fans who consider this the "true" continuation of the story. We want a movie that respects the fans' intelligence, honors the legacy of Kiara and Kovu, and replaces "hip-fest" trends with genuine, earned emotion. TC-96 had to stop the comic/story all together due to people stealing her work/harassment/and awful comments/threats/ and I am sure there are other reasons too. If she does do this then we can see a continuing on the story that was not even finished yet which leads for a fun surprise. Also if this collaboration does happen I would at least say TC-96  should be treated more respectfully and giving them the resources to fully realize their vision. Protecting TC-96’s original work and ensuring TC-96  has the true creative control. My instinct is to protect  TC-96 from being overwhelmed by the scriptwriting process. In the film industry, the best way to handle this is to pair an original creator with a "Co-writer" or "Script Consultant"—someone whose only job is to handle the tedious Hollywood formatting while completely protecting and honoring TC-96's vision. I very much understand that you would be scared to see something you love turn into  something slopy as I am scared too. Please know I understand because I have been there. But I don't want this story because of greedy money. Not all sequels are bad as sequels themselves aren’t inherently flawed, but execution comes down to the leadership and creative control of the people making them. But I want it because TC-96 is a amazing comic writer and artist and creator all in one. TC-96 made a amazing comic and I truly believe fans/new fans/ and children could love it. Thank you.
