The Bronx community of Locust Point is respectfully, yet urgently, requesting the TBTA Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority dba MTA Bridges and Tunnels to close the entrance of the Throgs Neck Bridge during peak hours. The entrance is exactly placed at the one and only access road to our community; during high traffic times 3pm-8pm, Locust Point residents are hostage and subject to sitting in at the very least an hour of traffic in order to travel hundreds of feet to or from our homes. Compounding matters is that because this access road is so short and only one lane heading in each direction commuters and residents experience situations of anger and anxiety. Road rage occurs when drivers take matters into their own hands and turn all lanes into “head for the entrance” lanes! 
Locust Point Residents and Bronx Community Leaders please unite in agreement with this petition directed at the TBTA. Our residents deserve access to our homes. We should not live in fear of emergency vehicles having disrupted access.
