In his great PBS talk show, Tavis Smiley is an important voice exposing and fighting poverty; Walmart is a major contributor to poverty because of it's low pay, abusive and discriminatory labor relations, and the decimation of small businesses in communities where they operate. Walmart's disingenuous and very misleading advertising on Smiley's show is incongruous with Smiley's message. This Walmart sponsorship compromises his message and his work on the vitally important issues of poverty; Smiley can be more free, more credible, and more effective without it! Together let's demand that Tavis Smiley drop Walmart as the corporate sponsor for his PBS talkshow, he's too good for Walmart!
