Taunton residents and businesses calls for improvements to Sunday bus services

🚌 SUNDAY BUSES FOR TAUNTON – WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! 🚌
Taunton is a growing county town with busy shopping areas, cafés, restaurants, Sunday markets, leisure facilities and major employers — yet large parts of the town still have little or no Sunday bus service. That simply isn’t good enough for residents, workers, businesses or visitors.
We are continuing our campaign for a proper Sunday town bus network across Taunton, helping connect people with:
🛍️ Sunday shopping and independent businesses
☕ Cafés, pubs and restaurants
🧺 Taunton’s markets and town centre events
🏥 Musgrove Park Hospital and healthcare appointments
🎭 Leisure, theatres and community activities
👵 Older and less mobile residents needing independence
👨👩👧 Families and young people without access to a car
🚆 Rail connections at Taunton Station
A reliable Sunday service is not just about transport — it’s about accessibility, reducing isolation, supporting the local economy and making Taunton a thriving seven-day town.
Too many residents currently face expensive taxi fares, long walks, or simply staying at home because there is no bus available on Sundays.
If we want a greener, fairer and more connected Taunton, then public transport must work every day of the week — not just Monday to Saturday.
Please support the campaign and sign our petition today. Every signature helps strengthen the case for better buses and better connectivity for Taunton.
