On December 6, 2016, JTAC News reported the possible consideration of cutting down some pecan trees in order to make a new parking lot. This historic pecan orchard at Tarleton State University is a huge part of history and tradition. The first pecan trees were planted in 1931 and is very important to John Tarleton Agriculture College. Please sign this petition if you are concerned with this issue.
