I am beyond glad to see you have found my petition to end the Lychee and Dog Meat festival. 

• Every year this festival happens in Yulin, Guangxi. It starts around June 21st- June 30th. 

•what do this festival you ask? This is the time of year dedicated to slaughtering dogs and cats. Killing them in slaughter houses. Beaten and abused. They are tortured. Kept in cages. Stomped on. Approximately 10,000 dogs are killed. Not to mention many of these animals are peoples pets, and off the street. There are even puppies and kittens. They also keep them in stall holders while other animals are being killed.

• how can we stop it? Raising awareness! Shenzhen and Zhuhai no longer allow residents to consume cat and dog meat. The past few years Yulin has shown to be less active as well. Many Chinese activist are trying to end this festival. We can help raise awareness and save so many precious animals. I have my own animals at home, 4 dogs and 2 cats. We are real animal lovers in my home. It does not feel right to have this going on in the world. To raise awareness all you have to do is sign and share!
