To Allow Hair Salons and Barbershops Re-Open with Recommended Guidelines

Hair salons and barbershops are still not allowed to open although many economic sectors have begun operating under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO). Hair stylists and salon owners have been frustrated or face financial problems and the risk of ending business with the stay-at-home order since it began in 18th March 2020.
 
Since the COVID-19 new cases number in the country reduces, we hope the government will consider allowing hair and barber sector to reopen likes other countries etc. US, Europe , China , Singapore, with some RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES.
 
1.    Cuts are by appointment only to avoid customers waiting in the salon. serve each customer for limited time.
 
2.     Record customers’ names and telephone numbers, to enable contact tracing.
 
3.     To screen all workers and customers at the door for temperature and symptoms. Customers are required to wash or sanitise their hands upon entrance.
 
4.     Customers and hairstylists must keep a safety social distance except when the haircut is taking place.
 
5.     Customers must wear face masks with disposable gloves.
 
6.     All hairstylists and assistants must wear face mask and face shield protector with disposable gloves.
 
7.     "Direct communication" is not permitted - discussion about hair style, colour etc must be done via a mirror and kept to a minimum.
 
8.      Scissors and other tools must be thoroughly disinfected between uses, as well as hairdressing chairs.
 
9.     Hairdressing cloaks must be washed after each use and, if possible, a disposable cloak should be worn over the top.
 
10.   Shops should have a wash station, offer disposable towels and have a touchless trash can.
