Law that requires all educators to have dyslexic training

Law that requires all educators to have dyslexic training
The Issue
My granddaughter is in 2nd grade with dyslexia and her teachers don’t know how to help her so I have to pay a service to work with her because her Iep isn’t helping they have her listed as significant learning disabled instead of a specific learning disability so a stranger looking at her iep would know how to help her the problem with it saying a significant learning disability is that group is a melting pot of differant disabilities and they would all be taught the same way!! With dyslexia there’s a specific way people have to be taught with specific modifications, programs and tool.
Pass a bill or legislature that classifies dyslexia as a specific learning disability on an iep require all special ed teachers receive dyslexia training and tools that will assist in teaching a dyslexic to read sound out words, learn to write etc. specifically list the dyslexic program being used to instruct the child in the child iep
My name is Kimberly Howell my 7 yr old granddaughter has struggled to understand what the letters in the alphabet do or mean. I have requested an evaluation since she was 3 everyone has said dyslexia couldn’t be tested for til 2nd grade which I now know is false.
After yrs of getting nowhere I finally requested the IEP team set up an (IEE) which they spent 2000 dollars on the evaluation determined she was in fact dyslexic they then told me the evaluator wasn’t qualified to find that. I stated then y did we have an independent evaluation if you were gonna just say she isn’t qualified?
I have informed the school in the fall all 5 of my grandkids will be leaving the school district. They refuse to give her an extended school yr they have called cps on me saying I’m abusing my granddaughter by trying to get her labeled dyslexic.
They don’t offer any significant summer school. So through open enrollment I’m pulling them from school to home school at least then they will receive 1-1 tutoring and leave time for dyslexic tutoring. Through the disabilities act every child is is eligible for a free education and special accommodations for those that require it. There is also law where there is no child left behind act and right now dyslexics are being left behind
