Appeal for closure of TASMAC Liquor shops and meat shops on the occasion of Buddha Pournima on 7th May 2020.

 

The whole world has been threatened with COVID - 19 (corona virus) pandemic disease and every day the cases are getting multiple.
But in India especially in Tamilnadu, the corona infection has been largely prevented by the  The selfless services of doctors, nurses, sanitary workers and Police personnel . Our sincere thanks to everyone.

The lockdown especially closure of TASMAC liquor Shops helped tremendously to control the pandemic. But it is highly shocking to learn that the TASMAC liquor Shops will be functional from 7th May 2020. As it is the policy decision of the government, kindly consider the following request sir:
*7th May 2020 is the BUDDHA POORNIMA and is being widely celebrated across the world marking the great birth anniversary of  enlightened Lord Buddha.

Lord Buddha had given five basic principles, Rules for all of us known as Panchasheel. In which the following are very significant.
*To abstain from killing any living creature and To abstain from all intoxicants*.

Hence it is our humble request to the government of Tamilnadu to please consider for closure of Tasmac Liquor shops & meat shops on 7th May 2020, as a mark of respect for BUDDHA POURNAMI CELEBRATION.
