Keep the "Locks of Love"/Wellbeing Tree in Ashton

Keep the "Locks of Love"/Wellbeing Tree in Ashton
The Issue
In October The Anthony Seddon Fund erected a structure for people to place their Locks of Love around a tree outside our charity shop, with written permission from Tameside MBC. The purpose of this tree was to raise awareness of mental health in an open and sensitive way and to give people passing the tree an opportunity to add a "Lock of love" to show support for a loved one with mental health issues and/or remember a loved one lost to suicide.
Tameside MBC has had a change of heart and has given us notice to remove the structure unless we can show thet we have the support of the Tameside public. The Anthony Seddon Fund has until Christmas to gather support for the idea of the wellbeing tree, its current location at 1 Market Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne and prevent Tameside MBC from redacting the permission they granted for the structure.
