The Rich Get Richer:
People who directly benefit from their political connections vote.
Those who don't vote, pay the price.
Voter Turnout Matters:
Not voting gives corrupt politicians permission to do their worst because they think you just don't care.
If you don't know who to vote for we suggest you check out

However, Maui Causes disagrees with two of their choices:
We support Kanamu Balinbin:
For eight years as Chair of Infrastructure, Elle Cochran blocked our every attempt to close the known loopholes that let Greg Brown abuse the Napili community and environment. Kanamu Balinbin is working hard to help expose corruption in Planning and Public Works that Elle Cochran went way out of her way to protect. We support Kanamu.
We Support Cara Flores:
With a budget of 1 Billion dollars, Maui needs Council Members who have the intelligence to deal with very complicated issues. Tasha Kama has shown that "being local" or "having faith" is just not enough. We have nothing against Carol Lee but let's face it, she's lost to Tasha twice and that's a very low bar.
Maui Causes is proud to have worked closely with Cara Flores to confront the Victorino administration's early Trumpian refusal to take Covid seriously.
Based on direct experience, we feel that Cara Flores has an understanding of the issues and solutions that will serve Maui County best.
