No country should enjoy impunity from the law regardless of their actions. 
The relentless bombardment of Gaza since 7th October has shown no regard for the lives of the civilian population who are seen as dispensable by the Israeli Government. 
In fact, contrary to International Law, Palestinians are again being collectively punished either by displacement, physical attack or both. 
Israel has now been given carte blanche for 75 years to oppress, evict and slaughter Palestinians. 
This is the inevitable consequence. 
The blood of 7000 children is on the hands of an International community who have turned a blind eye for too long. 
It is not sufficient for Western leaders to call for restraint whilst supplying the bombs that enable this genocide. 
Netanyahu and his ministers should face justice for their appalling crimes. 
We cannot bring back the dead children but we should do everything within our power to prevent the repeat of this butchery. 

The South African government has referred Israel to the International Court of Justice over multiple breaches of law and disregard for the civilian population of Gaza. We call on other governments to support this call rather than continuing to sanction Israel's crimes.
