Take Down Meek Mills degrading n disrespectful Public Bus Posters of Black Women

The Issue

Black women over the years have endured so much negativity when it comes to the way their images are presented in Movies, Television, Magazines, Advertisements and Music Videos.

I was deeply disturbed on so many levels at the latest oversexed disgusting  portrayal of Black Women on the side of a Public Bus for the entire community to see. To know that Meek Mill would post such disrespectful and demeaning images of the same Women that came to his aid in his time of need. There were many Black Women who came to Meek Mills defense when the conditions of his incarceration was deemed as unfair and unjust as well. How can you repay the Black women that signed a petition and vocally supported you with the phrase, Free Meek Mill, and then turn around to promote these degrading, sexually explicit images of Black Women.  Your Album cover should have images that lift up and celebrate the accomplishments of Black Women who have always had our backs in difficult times.

The images of Black Women Bent over, Butt naked with Breasts exposed and private parts cartooned for public consumption is not artwork. X-rated, sexually vulgar, Pornographic images on public display without any consideration for children must be taken down immediately.

I am speaking out as a Black man who was raised by a single mother, A man who has a sister, Aunt, strong wise female friends who are black and finally as a man who has been loved, respected, nurtured and even protected by the woman in my life. Black men I need your support on this one. We cannot allow this message of  blatant, cold public disrespect that these images represent to remain on any Public form of transportation or advertisement.

There can be no constructive positive future for the African American community without the constructive and positive imagery of the BLACK WOMAN!!

We demand that Meek Mill remove these images immediately!
