Zoey Felix, an animal lover and lover of Helping Hands Humane Society, watches with sadness as Petland slowly takes over our cities puppy population by selling sick puppies. This petition springs from Zoey's concern and love for animals, expanding further into the cities growing concern. Petland's growing puppy population threatens the number one breed; the French Bulldog, gives local businesses a bad name, and hurts the city of Topeka at its core. In 2020 COVID caused not only for people to be sent home to work it also caused an increase in the demand for puppies, French Bulldogs quickly became the number one breed and they're in danger and River needs our help. 

In the interest of our city and local businesses, we are calling on the City of Topeka to intervene, Advisors Excel, and the citizens of the community. Steps must be taken to ensure fair and the best treatment for animals of our city and this includes the puppies of Petland.
