I’ve spent the past five months in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where I grew up, to be closer to family. The culture, community, and familia that have shaped who I am today are present in every aspect of #RGV life. On weekends, I’ve been taking boat trips on the Rio Grande River with my high school friend, Marianna Treviño Wright, who is the Director for the National Butterfly Center.   Marianna never imagined that taking on this role would put her on the front lines of defending our democracy to Stop the Border Wall, which left unchecked, will decimate an entire natural ecosystem of over 300 butterflies, 500 birds and other native wildlife along the border.  

Trump will use this visit and his last days in office to bolster the symbolism of the wall to grow his movement.  We must stop him. Please read below and take immediate action.  Signing this petition shows groundswell. Tell the Biden Administration to stop the wall from day one and work towards comprehensive immigration reform.
