Halls Head College, located in Western Australia, has been a subject of numerous complaints and allegations regarding illegal activities and violations of educational standards. Despite multiple investigations, the institution continues to operate with impunity, leaving students, parents, and the community deeply concerned about the lack of accountability.

Over the past few years, several incidents have come to light involving misconduct, mismanagement, and violations of students’ rights within the school, a school teacher has been charged with common assault in 2017 for grabbing a child around the neck and pushing him to the floor yet still remains to be working at halls head college to this day with no further action taken, other violations include bathrooms being locked during class time with no access to any bathroom not even in the office despite multiple incidents and injuries (over 100) from students jumping the fence and walking to halls head shopping centre just for the bathroom to then return bleeding even a case where a student slit his leg open and had one testicle removed by the fence and needed over 45 stitches. Multiple reports of student being pulled off the fence with force by teachers once off the fence then being forced to the ground via there collars, also reports of teachers beginning fights with students which lead to possible fatal injuries. Other actions include instances of unreported bullying, mishandling of funds, and neglect in providing a safe and conducive learning environment for students. Despite these serious allegations, investigations have not resulted in any significant actions or reforms. 

The ongoing situation at Halls Head College not only undermines the trust and confidence of parents and students but also sets a dangerous precedent for other educational institutions. It is crucial that immediate and decisive action is taken to address these issues. We propose the establishment of an independent oversight committee composed of educators, legal experts, and community members to thoroughly investigate the allegations and implement necessary reforms. Additionally, there should be increased transparency in the operations of the school, and regular audits must be conducted to ensure compliance with educational standards and laws.

We call upon the Department of Education of Western Australia and local government authorities to prioritize this issue and ensure that Halls Head College is held accountable for its actions.
