Take a Stand for Clean Water: Sign to Launch an EPA-Led Investigation into Stormwater Mism

The Issue

I am a resident of Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459, USA. Last year, two of my good friends had to undergo amputations to save their lives after swimming in the Choctawhatchee Bay. This was due to flesh-eating bacterial infections that are rapidly increasing in our bay - a direct result of mismanaged stormwater upstream.

Allegations have been made that this mismanagement is in violation of the federal clean water act and that multiple agencies may have colluded to keep this process undercover. We cannot stand by while our community's health and wellbeing are at risk.

The Choctawhatchee Bay is not just a body of water; it's where we live, play, and create memories with our children and grandchildren. The rapid pollution threatens all this - do we want future generations forbidden from enjoying what we once did?

We demand an independent investigation overseen by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) into these allegations. We need science-based answers about what is happening to our bay and how it can be stopped.

Our community deserves transparency about what has led us here and swift action towards solutions for cleaner waters. Please sign this petition if you believe in safeguarding the health of Santa Rosa Beach residents now and for generations to come.
