Dear students, parents and teachers in the ems family, many students at the school find that the no backpack rule is unfair and it don't kids be themselves or have creativity. They say the rule is to keep us safe and to keep unwanted things (food, guns, knifes, etc) but our binders can fit all of that stuff in them.  The binders do not fit in our lockers because they are two big. the binders are very heavy because of our Chromebooks and that is not good for our bodies. With us all having the same binders there can be mix ups and cause distractions from our learning. With backpacks none of that would be a problem and the students would be happy. So please help Kira Burney and I (T'ahjanae Ray) to bring back backpacks to ems.
