Our city of Sydney has been chocked by smoke for the last month, a reminder of the lives, animals and homes lost during this November’s Bushfires. Please sign this  to help stop NYE fireworks out of respect. Lighting fireworks at this time is tasteless. Surely a laser show can suffice!

We do not need more smoke and we should embrace the Australian Spirit and honour our victims and let them know we care more about their trauma than our entertainment.

Last thing we want to see is a giant Koala on the bridge in memory of this. These fires have threatened our heritage, rural and coastal friends and iconic animals. Time to get real... people are hurting at this time and would appreciate the sentiment.

Raise a glass cityfolk and toast to not having to defend your property or family. Imagine receiving the warnings from the RFSNSW these families did.

Give the money to the real heros, the firemen and women, the community halls and volunteers.

Give hope to those who are facing their worst New Years Eve and let them know we acknowledge their loss and care about their futures. Tell the tourists that come to watch the fireworks we cancelled them in honour of the bushfire victims, they are human and will understand and respect our kindred  spirit.
