SWX is one of the biggest music and event venues in the south-west. Major acts are now frequently using SWX as their venue of choice. 
Although SWX has a disabled viewing platform, and an accessible toilet, there is no way to access the venue without going up multiple flights of stairs.

Their solution to this is for people who cannot climb stairs to be carried up the dangerous, concrete stairs by two members of security staff. Not only is this dangerous, but it is also unreliable, and is humiliating and uncomfortable for the person being carried. It is also likely in breach of the Equalities Act 2010, which says they need to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate disabled customers.

Because of this lack of access, disabled fans are missing out on going to concerts of their favourite acts and events, many of whom are choosing to play in SWX as their one event in the south-west because of the capacity and superior sound system.

We are asking SWX to install a lift, stair lift, or other solution to give disabled customers safe, comfortable access to their venue.
