We, the undersigned, are calling on The Pokemon Company International to switch to sustainable packaging for their Pokemon cards. As fans and collectors of these cards, we believe that it is important for the company to take responsibility for their impact on the environment and reduce their use of single-use plastics.

Our petition photo showcases over 1000 empty Pokemon card wrappers collected over the course of 4 years from the local TCG community in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The photo was created by @littlelanterstudio on Instagram, who had the idea to start this petition and has been collecting these plastic wraps for years to create something impactful.

With Earth Day coming up, we are starting this petition to urge The Pokemon Company International to take action towards a more sustainable future. Currently, the majority of Pokemon cards come in plastic wrappers that are often discarded after use and end up in landfills or oceans. This is a major contributor to plastic pollution and harms the planet & its inhabitants
