SWIM S.I. is an alliance dedicated to advocacy, promotion, and celebration of safe swimming and aquatic education on Staten Island. We strive to increase aquatic access for all islanders.

• This petition calls for accessibility and safety at beautiful Lyons Pool in 2023.
  
  Specifically:

1. Re-install swim lanes for lap swimming and rehab.
2. Return to pool programs that promote aquatic education (Learn to Swim) for all Staten Islanders.
3. Support the NYC Parks in hiring the necessary lifeguards to operate at capacity.
4. Make lifeguard training a priority for Staten Island through local initiatives, to increase borough “self-reliance”.
