Halloween is a holiday celebrated and enjoyed by kids and teens all over the world. For most kids and teens, we stay up late to celebrate time to extend bonds with our friends and have fun. Kids and teens deserve to have fun, and we shouldn’t have to worry about going to bed on time because we have school the next day. Many school districts have already cancelled school for the day after Halloween, to give students a well-deserved break and just have fun for one night.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the world. Last year, a lot of people did not celebrate Halloween, and for those that did, it wasn’t the same as other years. While we still do have to take some precautions this year, students deserve a night to have fun with their friends. Students have worked so hard, and the least that we can do is to give them a day off.

If school is not canceled the day after halloween, students will not be able to have time to relax and enjoy being a kid. If students do relax on Halloween night and enjoy being a kid/teen, the next day students will be extremely tired and will not get anything out of the school day. They will not learn anything the day after Halloween. If we give the students a chance to enjoy being kids and have just one night to themselves, we can go back to learning and having school on Tuesday. Students deserve this break, even if it’s just one day.
