Punish Sodus, NY animal abusers to the full extent of the law

The Issue

SODUS, N.Y. -- Two people were arrested in Sodus Tuesday following an animal cruelty investigation.

Amanda Mills, 28, of Sodus, was arrested and charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a class E felony. Police say Mills intentionally caused the death of a horse she owned by depriving it of food and water.

Steven Jernigan, 40, of Sodus, was also arrested for overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, a class A misdemeanor.

They both were issued an appearance ticket for the Sodus Town Court and will appear on a later date.

suzanne phillipsPetition StarterI have loved and owned Great Pyrenees dogs for over 30 years and been actively rescuing them..mainly from shelters in the south..and then getting them placed in good and appropriate homes for 20 years. I am a HUGE fan of Shelly Horton Rovira.
