The Issue

I, like many others in our community, deeply value the live music sector of Old Town Temecula. Not only do these performances breathe life into our local businesses, but they also lay the foundation for aspiring musicians to shape their futures, promoting lively arts and culture in our beloved town. Maintaining and promoting this integral facet of our community up until 10 pm is critical for our businesses and local economy.

Old Town Temecula features more than a dozen venues packing every night with live music, transforming the district into an essential destination for music lovers and culture enthusiasts. The existence of such venues plays a significant role in keeping the economy vibrant. According to a study by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, arts contribute over $800 billion a year to U.S. economy, with music performances being a major portion of that number (Bureau of Economic Analysis, 2018).

Our town is no exception. The live music performances that are part of our identity significantly boost our local businesses and add to the distinct character of Old Town Temecula. But we need local ordinance enhancement that allows these performances to thrive up until 10 pm for outdoor venues and up to 12 am for indoors.

We need your signature to bring about this change. Your support will help our local talent rise and our businesses survive. It's time we amplify our local music scene without any premature curfew, cherishing the diversity and unity it fosters within our community. Please sign this petition to sustain and enhance live music performances in Old Town Temecula, CA.
