Hello Everyone, 

Thank you all for joining the effort. We started this petition so that those in the community who were outraged and concerned would have a platform. After the incredible effort by you all, the superintendent has put out a video statement addressing the situation. Believing that the petition served its purpose in getting the district to listen to your concerns, we will be closing the petition on Thursday January 14th. The petition signatures will be submitted to the school board on Tuesday January 19th, the day of the school board meeting. If you want, the board is allowing individuals to submit comments live. Lastly, as we have stressed before, please refrain from stating that the individual was violent or stormed the Capitol in any way. There is no current evidence to substantiate such claims. Additionally please refrain from other corrosive language in this petition comment section or during the school board comment section or else they will be deleted.
