Suspend ethanol blending in vehicles
The Issue
I bought a vehicle, hoping for reliability and performance. But soon, I noticed my vehicle's engine was deteriorating, its mileage plummeting, and various other issues started emerging. Upon further investigation, I discovered that these damages were due to the ethanol blended in the fuel. Much to my frustration, this isn't just an isolated issue; it's affecting many others. What’s even more distressing is learning that the push for ethanol blending in India seems to benefit not the public but rather Nitin Gadkari’s son, who, as I discovered, has significant ties to the ethanol production business.
The current mandate of ethanol blending seemingly ignores the well-being and financial stability of vehicle owners in India. Ethanol, especially at levels like E20 and E85, has been known to cause damage unless vehicles are specifically designed to handle such blends. Many vehicles on our roads are not compliant, leading to decreased efficiency and increased repair costs, thereby financially burdening the common citizen instead of contributing to any substantial national development.
Furthermore, rather than prioritizing adequate infrastructure and supportive policies for transitioning to an ethanol-blended fuel system, the government appears to be putting personal interests first, resulting in public exploitation under the guise of growth and sustainability. Our vehicles are suffering damage, our pockets are being drained, and for what? So a select few can benefit while the rest of us pay the price?
I urge everyone who, like me, has faced these issues, and those who believe in fair governance, to speak up. We need transparency, accountability, and a suspension of ethanol blending until vehicles are adequately compliant and until independent studies confirm the safety and economic usefulness of ethanol blends for all consumers.
Join me in demanding the resignation of Nitin Gadkari, hold accountable those who push a flawed system for personal gain, and insist on genuine solutions that benefit the people. Sign this petition to call for immediate action and protect our investments in our vehicles and fairness in government policies.
