SUSD has suffered two years of turmoil and chaos under the miserable leadership of the current Governing Board.  Two members of that Board will be gone in December.  A new Board will be seated in January.  

Our Acting Superintendent, John Kriekard, has succeeded in restoring calm, beginning the process of rebuilding faith and confidence, and has recruited quality leaders for schools and District positions to fill the gaps left by the departure of those who were incompetent or villainous (and sometimes criminal).  

It is critical - and mandatory - that he be named the Interim Superintendent and given an 18 month contract now, before we lose him. 

On the Agenda of today's Governing Board meeting the Board had the option to make Kriekard the Interim Superintendent. Had they done so, our 2019 Governing Board could have managed with Kriekard the recruitment and training of a highly qualified Permanent Replacement for him. 

Kriekard's only Agenda is helping SUSD find a great replacement for himself while he instills calm where there was chaos.  There is no greater option for SUSD than Kriekard and the Kriekard Agenda. 

Instead of trusting a proven leader who has already brought success back to SUSD, our Governing Board has chosen to put the future of our District in the hands of a Recruitment Firm that has never been used by SUSD.  

We say "No". 

We do not trust this Board. 

We do not trust an unknown Recruitment agency.   

We trust, Kriekard.  

Extend Kriekard's Contract.  

Stop the Recruitment Process.

Take no further actions until the 2019 Board is in place.
