As a healthy young adult who is fully vaccinated I do not think we should be required to take the booster just yet. I have been exposed directly to covid while I was vaccinated and also unvaccinated and never got this virus once. People with the booster shot have still gotten covid. It is too soon to require all students to get a booster shot when people were so hesitant to get the vaccine in the first place. Also fully vaccinated people had the most mild cases of omicron. You should not be forcing people to go against their own values and principles. If you want to get the booster go ahead you should! But other students who do not should not be forced against their own will. What Montclair State has failed to do is hear the voices of their own institution which they claim they care so much about. If you really cared you would hear the voices of every student not just the ones who agree with your policies. I know I am not the only student who does not want the booster but if I am I will stand alone with my opinion. Lastly, I am not anti booster I just think forcing things onto people too soon when they most likely will not get covid or barely be sick is not right. Thank you. WE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE.
