Do you visit the Carrying Place Beach (Newbury Neck) in Surry? Did you know that this beach was donated to the town of Surry with the expectation that it would remain public? The selectmen are considering the elimination of all parking along the road at the far end of the beach. They believe that people can park under the pines at the far end or in the main parking lot. If this happens, there will not be enough parking for the numbers of people who use this public beach. They've already put up several no parking signs with only a small space for parking along the far side of the beach. Whether you use that end of the beach or not, please consider signing this petition so that we can let the Surry selectmen know that they have a responsibility to provide adequate parking for all sections of this PUBLIC beach.
