We live in a society where women are still victims of sexualization and are continuously objectified by peers and people above. 
There is no reason that young girls (high school students) should be pulled out of class because a crop top is considered distracting to a 40+ year old male teacher. School environments need to stop sexualizing young girls and come to terms with the fact that it is they’re faculty that is in the wrong. 
Schools have used the same excuse for years now stating that “it’s distracting for young boys” it is time where we look at sexual assault victims and see that what many victims have worn is nowhere near revealing yet still provoked the abuser. 
Schools need to get rid of these outdated sexualized opinions and start providing outlets to inform boys (since their gender is used so much to justify why dress code is in place) and be checked for their behaviour instead of instantly blaming young girls. 

As a community we need to recognize the harm that dress code is inflicting on teenage girls.
