Start a proper Traffic Management Plan for the Red Road Lightwater!

The Issue

The Red Road runs to the South East of Lightwater between Deepcut/Camberley direction and West End. The Road is poorly lit, sees cars constantly speeding and consequently sees weekly accidents. In particular these happen as cars try to turn right from Lightwater Road and Macdonald Road.

It has always been considered an accident black spot yet despite considerable developments on Deepcut area - which results in more and more traffic usage - nothing is ever done to try to make the road safer.

Surely Traffic Lights or roundabouts installed at the two junctions would result in both safer turns onto The Red Road and consequently slow traffic down. The Road is also so dark - surely proper road lights would make it safer?

Back in 2012 after a serious accident talk of a working party was discussed but to best of my knowledge nothing further was ever done. Does it take another death to finally get some action??
