We the undersigned petition Surrey County Council to do
everything possible to retain the 555 bus route and the link to
Heathrow Airport.

Even before the Government's latest proposals on Heathrow, the
need for better surface transport in this area and to the
airport has been obvious. To withdraw the 555 bus linking the
local communities to Ashford hospital, supermarkets and the
airport would have a seriously detrimental effect on many
people in Spelthorne, Elmbridge and across Surrey. We
petitioners, urge Surrey County Council and Abellio to work
with the Government and find a way to keep this vital bus
route.
