Thankyou for taking the time to read this, I hope we can get as many signatures needed to hopefully get the parliament to consider doing this.. So I am writing this petition for a surrender box to be placed in Sheffield So that people can surrender a weapon into a surrender your knife, save a life box..

i made this petition because Sheffield is becoming worse by the day with knife/ weapon crime, just over the past couple of days there has been several fatal knife crime attacks, so hopefully with a little help from the Sheffield community we can all come together and if not stop at least slow the attacks from happening and try make Sheffield the place it used to be!

Here are some locations of knife crime - Southey Green, Firshill Cescent, cineworld centretainment, Hillsborough, wybourne, Burngreave. There is plenty more but this is just the week that has just passed. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost their child due to this selfless act of cruelty.

A surrender box not only ensures a somewhat safer future, but it is also not a trap. If a surrender box was to be placed. All weapons / items will be surrendered anonymously, there will be no cctv in operation so there will be no consequences of you placing items in the bin. (An amnesty would be in place here) 

How many more life’s have to be taken for us to realise it’s time to come together as a community and help put a stop towards this, the knifes surrendered will hopefully be sent and used for the knife angel statue, to give extra justice for the families who have lost a close one due to these kind of acts. 

It is early stages of getting a box fitted but if one was to be placed I believe the south yourkshire police department will be in charge of the box and it’s items (syp will be the ones removing the knives from the box) 

The box will of course be safe and impossible to break into so the knifes surrended will not be recirculated back into the community..
