Surfrider Texas Upper Coast Chapter: Remove the illegal and dangerous houses on the public beach in Surfside Texas
The Issue
Two houses on the public beach have been in violation of the Texas Open Beaches Act since Sept. 1998. They are safety hazards and are in danger of falling onto a popular public beach. They are unstable, hazardous to beach users and will become projectiles in the next hurricane, possibly damaging nearby structures. They need to be REMOVED.
