"The Executive of Surf Rescue 30 would like to provide a current update to our members, sponsors, stakeholders, NSWP Marine Area Command and the community in relation to the suspension of Surf Rescue 30 operations. Firstly, let us thank everybody for the overwhelmingly positive support. It means a lot to have so many within the community reach out to us.

Secondly, our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the shark attack victim who tragically lost their life at Little Bay yesterday, 16 February 2022, a short distance from Surf Rescue 30's rescue base in Malabar. Our sincere apologies that our call-out crews were unable to support our community.

1. On 14/2/22, Surf Rescue 30 received a list of 11 issues from SLSNSW with the areas of concern following the review.

2. On 16/2/22, Surf Rescue 30 discussed these issues with SLSNSW representatives and provided a comprehensive written report to SLSNSW covering each of the 11 points and showing, in our opinion, full compliance to SLNSW concerns.

3. Surf Rescue 30 is now awaiting a reply from SLSNSW and have requested the NSW Board of Management reinstate our vessel for patrols and to be able to respond to emergency taskings once they have reviewed our report."
