Jan 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court agreed on Friday to decide whether the government can require a former federal sex offender to register a change of address even after he had served his sentence.

The Sex Offender registration law, which typically applies to Level 3 offenders is an important tool that informs communities about potential predators, and threats to children in their own neighborhoods. It also serves to remind the offender that they have a serious problem, and help is available. Why take any chances with our children? Give parents every tool available to protect the children.
