John Crawford III was shot on sight and killed on August 5, 2014 at his local Walmart store for being black.

He was holding a gun, a bb gun, a FAKE gun, but other patrons of the Walmart deemed him "suspicious" and "threatening," so they called the police. Not only is there absolutely no excuse for this, but the racial component is especially obvious, since, even if he were carrying a real gun, he would be well within his right to do so, as many other (white) people have in Ohio everyday: Ohio is an open carry state.

By not indicting the responsible party or parties, the action is justified by the U.S. Justice system. To assure defense and protection for ALL U.S. citizens, this, just the recent in a long line of police killing minority black civilans, needs to be prosecuted.

Police killings of black people, and the lack of justice thereafter have become the new lynching, which was also implicitly justified by the justice system, since it was never made illegal.

I demand that the United States uphold its promise to "ensure the general welfare" of ALL citizens and idict those responsible. I demand that justice be served in this country for ALL citizens, and not just some.
